Community Outreach

Each year the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra performs a concert outside of its home venue.  IN the past ECCO has performed in Menomonie, Chippewa Falls and Baraboo.  This year the orchestra will be performing in Ashland.

Also, each year ECCO offers a free family concert that features classical music that appeals to children as well as adults.  The orchestra is committed to offering this free afternoon concert as it provides a musical opportunity for all citizens regardless of their income level.  We know this is valued as the attendance is typically three times the number of our regular concerts. 

Another form of outreach has been ECCO's performing premieres of several works by area composers.  Just this performance season, the orchestra will have performed three world premieres and will have performed music by  four local composers.  We are very proud that we offer local composers an opportunity to have their music heard in their home area.
